Natural light informs ordinary objects and places - in the barn down the road, in Nicaragua, in Norway. In other words, everywhere.
Kris has a BFA (OSU 1981), once worked at Oregon State's Botany and Plant Pathology darkroom, opened the first computer graphics studio (1987) at University of Washington, Department of Pathology, alongside her custom darkroom. Kris worked at a local gallery custom framing, executing monthly show postcards and web design. For the past five years she's talked photography at Bainbridge Island's Farmer's Market.

by day works in the Bioinformatics group at Zymogenetics Inc. and is adjunct faculty in the Department of Pathology at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
